Trial and billing
Create your account and request a 15-day Starter trial. No card is needed. While approval is pending, your dashboard is view-only. Your 15-day Starter trial begins when CaratOS approves your request.
If you have not paid, your shop becomes view-only. You can still view and export your records. Pay for Starter or Growth to continue, or request more trial time from CaratOS. An extension needs approval.
Yes, from Plan & billing. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing. A paid plan stays on until the end of the month or year you’ve paid for.
We don’t refund part of a month or year. When you cancel, your plan stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and nothing more is charged.
Yes. Moving up to Growth starts at once, and you pay only the difference for the rest of the period. Moving down to Starter happens at the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Yes. After every payment we send a GST invoice made out to your shop, with your GSTIN if you added one.
At the counter
Add the customer’s old gold or silver to the same bill. CaratOS works out the fine weight, values it at your old-gold rate for the day and takes it off the amount to pay.
Yes. Record the HUID on every hallmarked piece. It stays with the piece from your stock to the customer’s bill.
Any printer your computer or tablet can already print to, for bills and price tags. Printing straight to a Bluetooth printer from a phone comes later; iPhone and iPad browsers don’t allow it yet.
Yes. Import your opening stock from an Excel sheet when you set up. Rows that need a second look are shown before anything is added.
Yes. A one-tap reminder opens WhatsApp with the message ready, so it goes from your own number. On Growth, automatic reminders also go from your shop’s number, once WhatsApp approves it for business messages. WhatsApp charges for each automatic reminder.
Every night, the owner gets the day’s figures on WhatsApp: sales, money in, old gold taken in, cash in the drawer, what’s owed to you and any discounts approved. It comes with Growth and Custom.
Not yet. CaratOS runs online, so the counter needs an internet connection. A desktop version that keeps your records on your own computer is coming: see CaratOS Desktop.
GST and your CA
Yes. Bills show 3% GST as CGST and SGST, or IGST when the customer is in another state. Reports give your CA the GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B figures.
Yes. Starter and Growth both include a free read-only login for your CA or munim, on top of your team’s logins.
Yes, on every plan. Export your books from CaratOS and bring them into Tally. Growth adds live sync, so Tally keeps up by itself.
Your data and team
Your shop’s data is kept separate from every other shop’s, and all traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). You can export your data at any time.
On Growth, yes: it includes 5 people, including you, and each person gets a role, such as salesperson or accountant, and sees only what that role allows. Starter has one login, for you. Both plans add a free read-only login for your CA.
Only named CaratOS support staff, and only when you switch support on. While they’re in, you see a banner on every screen. Each visit ends after 2 hours and is listed in Settings. KYC documents stay hidden unless they record a reason.
About CaratOS
Retail jewellery shops and B2B jewellers. Starter fits a single counter; Growth adds 5 people, more than one branch, and memo, trade accounts and B2B quotes. Large retailers, wholesalers and workshops with their own way of working are on Custom: book a call and we’ll talk it through.
Setting up takes three steps: your shop, your stock and your first bill, and you can bring your stock from an Excel sheet. If you’d like a hand, book a call and tell us what you need.
Yes. Send us the export from your old software, or your Excel sheets, and we bring your stock, customers and dues into CaratOS. You check every row before anything is added.
Yes. Each person in your shop can use CaratOS in English or Hindi, and switch at any time.
Not today. CaratOS is built for the retail counter: billing with old gold, stock, dues and GST. GST e-invoices (IRN) are on the Growth plan. If your shop needs girvi or RFID, tell us when you book a call. We’re counting how many shops ask.
No, however hard the names try. caratos.co.in is the only official CaratOS website, and the app runs at app.caratos.co.in. We are not connected with caratoserp.com, karatos.in or any other site or seller using the CaratOS or KaratOS name, and they can’t sell, set up or support CaratOS. CaratOS and KaratOS are trademarks of Izara Gems Pvt. Ltd. We have never allowed caratoserp.com or karatos.in to use them, their use of our names is in dispute, and caratoserp.com has even called us asking for a “settlement”. See the real CaratOS.
