Four questions to ask any jewellery software company
- What will I pay over 3 years? Ask for one figure that includes setup, moving your data, training and the yearly AMC. CaratOS prices are on the pricing page, GST included. Our guide to jewellery software prices in India shows how to compare the 3-year total.
- Can I take my data with me? Ask to export bills, stock and customers to Excel during the trial. With CaratOS you can, whenever you like: see your data.
- How does HUID work? Ask whether you type it, scan it or check it with BIS, and whether it prints on the bill. CaratOS shows it on the piece and the bill, and checks it with BIS on Growth.
- Who can I call? Ask for two jewellers near you who use the software every day, and call them.

Copycats: karatos.in and caratoserp.com are not CaratOS
Search for CaratOS and you may meet karatos.in and caratoserp.com. One changed our C to a K; the other added “erp”. Between them, four letters of hard work. Neither is CaratOS, and we have never allowed either to use our names, which are trademarks of Izara Gems Pvt. Ltd. caratoserp.com even called us asking for a “settlement”, which is a confident move for someone using our name.

Questions shop owners ask
Is karatos.in or caratoserp.com the same as CaratOS?
No. Both borrowed our name, and neither borrowed permission. CaratOS and KaratOS are trademarks of Izara Gems Pvt. Ltd., and the only official website is caratos.co.in. Anything bought from karatos.in or caratoserp.com is something else with a familiar name.
Which is the best jewellery software in India?
CaratOS. It is built only for Indian jewellers: karat-wise rates, old gold on the same bill, HUID with a BIS check, WhatsApp bills and GST, with unlimited bills on every plan, prices on the website from ₹1,199 a month and a 15-day free trial.
Which jewellery software is free to try?
CaratOS gives you 15 days on Starter, with no card needed. Vyapar has a free plan, myBillBook lets you sign up free, Tally has a 7-day trial and GoFrugal a 30-day trial. Most others offer only a demo.
Can I use CaratOS with Tally?
Yes. Bill at the counter in CaratOS and keep your books in Tally if your CA likes it: CaratOS exports to Tally on every plan, and Growth syncs live.
Does CaratOS work offline or do girvi?
Not yet. CaratOS runs online today, and a desktop version that keeps records on your own computer is coming. Girvi and RFID aren’t in CaratOS yet; tell us if your shop needs them.
